With the business idea of marketing these forecasts, they set up their own business in June 2004. The Previento system provides energy suppliers, electricity traders and grid operators with precise wind power forecasts in order to integrate the fluctuating feed-in of wind energy into their daily business in an economically and technically efficient manner. energy & meteo systems is also working on new concepts for so-called virtual power plants, which enable controllable power plant operation with decentralised energy sources. The central point of Overspeed's business activities is the development and sale of a system for remote monitoring of wind farms, OptiFarm. The company zero-handicap, located in the Technology and Business Incubator, was founded by Tim Gebken and Mike Beenders. They offer their customers to design or change their internet presence in a handicapped accessible way. For example, the size of the font can be changed or an additional auxiliary device can be connected. According to the German Act on Equal Opportunities for the Disabled, all public institutions are obliged to do so by the end of 2005. Private companies must follow at a later date. Zero-handicap can redesign websites to make them barrier-free, so that the pages do not have to be taken off the net, nor can any changes to the page design be detected. Zero-handicap is currently virtually unrivalled in Germany with this business idea.
