EMMIR is an international and transdisciplinary Master's programme in Migration Studies and Intercultural Relations at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg in co-operation with Ahfad University for Women in Omdurman (Sudan), Mbarara University of Science & Technology (Uganda), University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia), University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Czech Republic), University of Stavanger (Norway) and the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa).

Since 2011, the University of Oldenburg has been the common starting point for the international students participating in this research-oriented degree programme with a focus on gender, development, representation and education.
