Research assistant screening atrial flimmers wanted!
The Department of General Medicine, Department of Health Services Research of School VI - Medicine at the University of Oldenburg (Head of Department: Professor Michael Freitag) is seeking to appoint a
Research Assistant
for the project "Screening atrial fibrillation (TARGET-AF)".
Remuneration: E13 TV-L
Job scope: 50 %
Place of employment: Oldenburg (Oldb)
Start of employment: 01.11.2026
Fixed term: until 31.01.2028
Application deadline: 15.06.2026
Your tasks include:
- Recruitment of cooperating GP practices and patients
- Support in the implementation and organisation of the TARGET-AF study
- Participation in the initiation of the study and, if necessary, adaptation of the study protocol
- Participation in project meetings and scientific events
- Analysing and processing scientific data
- Publication and presentation of project results
- General organisational and scientific support for the Department of General Medicine
Your qualifications:
- Completed scientific university degree (Master / Diplom (Uni)) in the field of health sciences, human medicine or a related field
- Very good German and good written and spoken English skills
- Independent, structured and reliable way of working
- Interest in general medical care research
An advantage are
- Experience in the preparation of study protocols and ethics applications
- Experience in primary care or general medicine
- Experience in the recruitment of patients for scientific studies
- Knowledge of project management
- Publication experience
- Basic knowledge of atrial fibrillation and screening procedures
