Teaching Doctors' Day becomes the DAY OF TEACHING PRACTICES
The renaming of "Lehrärztetag" to "Tag der Lehrpraxen" reflects the further development of outpatient training. The focus is no longer on the individual, but on the teaching practice as a central place of learning.
The new name emphasises the joint responsibility of the entire practice team and underlines a modern, future-oriented understanding of teaching.

14 new teaching practices are involved in the training of medical students!
The Teaching Doctors' Day on 8 October 2025 was a complete success! With a record attendance and great commitment to student training, it once again showed how vibrant our teaching practice network is.
Thanks to the active support of our teaching physicians, the network was expanded by 14 new practices - to over 230 practices throughout the North West. Around 90 doctors took advantage of the day for further training and to exchange ideas with colleagues.

Field study in the "SchlafCheck" project: digital sleep laboratory in the GP practice
As part of the BMG-funded "SchlafCheck" project, mobile sleep monitoring systems were successfully trialled in five GP practices in and around Oldenburg over a period of two years. Around 60 test subjects took part in the study, in which sensors, questionnaires and diaries were used for sleep diagnostics. The healthcare research revealed both potential and challenges during implementation - such as the usability of the EEG sensor in everyday life. The results are being incorporated into the further development of a separate, mobile EEG sensor system by the "Mobile Neurotechnologies" research group at the Fraunhofer IDMT. The project was completed in spring 2025 and was funded with around EUR 300,000 by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG).
