It was founded in February 2015 by Prof Dr Michael Freitag, Renate Kettmann (teaching practice coordinator) and Dr Anne Mergeay (general practitioner), supported by David Saß (research officer, Diplom health economist) and Imke Garten (Office).

Since then, we have grown steadily and now consist of a team of thirteen doctors, health scientists and administrative staff. We also work closely with our GP Advisory Board and over 200 teaching practices.
