The Oldenburg network training programme is growing and flourishing.

You are welcome to contact us with immediate effect if you are interested in further education to become a specialist in general medicine. Among other things, we can help you find suitable training centres in the Oldenburg area. We also offer accompanying seminars and a mentoring programme for further support.

Centre of Excellence for Further Education in General Practice Lower Saxony (KANN)
Objective: Optimisation of further education in the subject of general medicine in accordance with the agreement on the promotion of further education in accordance with § 75 a SGB V 7/2016.
The Centre of Excellence Lower Saxony is a co-operation between
- the university Institutes and Departments of General Practice
o University Medical Centre Göttingen (Prof. Dr Eva Hummers), lead management
o Hannover Medical School (Prof Dr Nils Schneider)
o University of Oldenburg (Prof Dr Michael Freitag)
- Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Lower Saxony (KVN)
- Lower Saxony Medical Association (ÄKN)
- Lower Saxony Hospital Association
KANN also works together with the Academy for General Practitioner Training Bremen, the General Practitioners' Association of Lower Saxony and the Young General Practitioners' Association of Germany (JADE).
The programme for doctors in further education and for trainers includes
- Seminar days for doctors in further education
- Mentoring programme for doctors in further education
- Train-the-trainer seminars for trainers and those who would like to become trainers
