The open-source operating system Linux allows you to run it on your own computer. In recent years, Linux has become increasingly popular – partly because its desktop interfaces and programmes offer the same level of convenience as those of Windows or macOS, and partly because Windows software now often runs on Linux without any problems. And last but not least, it allows old hardware – which has been excluded from the Windows 11 update – to continue running securely for a long time to come.

In this session, the Learning Lab offers you the chance to try out Linux on your own computers and then install it.

You can either turn up directly at a Linux Install Party session or register in advance via Stud.IP. Registering guarantees you a place.
