The new "Project Manager for Securing Skilled Labour (IHK)" further education course was developed jointly by the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the C3L. It starts at the end of November.
Vacancies that cannot be filled, high staff turnover and loss of expertise due to generational change - for many companies, the shortage of skilled labour is becoming a key challenge. A new further education programme offered by the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce together with the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg provides strategic solutions. The aim is to attract motivated employees, develop talent and teams and ensure the transfer of expertise.
The further education programme is aimed at company management, executives and HR management. The three-month programme starts at the end of November and concludes with the "Project Manager for Securing Skilled Labour (IHK)" certificate. The aim of the programme is to develop a strategic concept for each participant's company. The first step is to create a database to determine the company's age structure, foreseeable personnel changes and skills losses and gains. The next step involves tools for knowledge and personnel management. Corporate culture and employer branding are also addressed.
"Securing skilled labour is the topic of the future," says Stefan Bünting, Head of the IHK's Education division. In the coming years, baby boomers will be retiring and companies will be faced with the challenge of filling all these vacancies. It is no longer enough to simply place a job advert - a strategic approach is required. This is exactly where our new joint further education programme 'Project Manager for Securing Skilled Workers (IHK)', which we developed together with the C3L, comes in."
How skills are retained, developed and transferred is examined from the perspective of science and practice. All lecturers of the further education programme will be present at the 10th Oldenburg Skilled Workers Forum. Further information on further education can be found at:
