Further education for the next step in the energy transition - the first programmes of the efzn Academy were presented at the Hannover Messe: The Hydrogen Ramp-up Strategy Forum and Geoenergy 360° will start in autumn.

At the H2 Strategy Forum, experts Prof. Richard Hanke-Rauschenbach (Head of the Department of Electrical Energy Storage Systems at Leibniz Universität Hannover) and Dr Geert Tjarks (Managing Director of EWE Hydrogen GmbH) will analyse the so-called Hydrogen Implementation Gap. Much of the groundwork has been laid for the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy - but development is currently stalling, partly due to regulatory implementation. Strategies for the ramp-up will be discussed in the interactive format. Further education on geothermal energy is still being developed and will begin in November.

The efzn Academy is part of the research project Transformation of the Energy System of Lower Saxony(TEN.efzn). It is coordinated by the Lower Saxony Energy Research Centre efzn, which presented the six research platforms of TEN.efzn at the Hannover Messe: more than 180 scientists from 18 research institutions are working on innovative solutions for a climate-neutral energy system in areas ranging from hydrogen to wind, heat, geo-energy systems and digitalisation to social dynamics.
