With its wide range of services, the ZPD not only supports the important work of the Lower Saxony police, but also other authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS) - for example in the area of digital radio.
In order to further strengthen its own innovative power, the authority will in future rely on a co-operation with the Centre for Lifelong Learning with its part-time Master's programme "Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship".
The police could particularly benefit from the results of the Master's programme. "Research results clearly show that the ability to innovate depends largely on highly motivated and qualified employees," said Dr Klaus Fichter, Professor of Innovation Management and Sustainability.
"We are already certain that our co-operation will soon bear its first fruits," said Police Commissioner Christiana Berg, who signed the contract along with Fichter.
