"Education Law: Introduction and Overview" is the title of the new volume in the Education and Science Management study series, published by Waxmann Verlag. The author is Prof. Dr Hans G. Schuetze, who, among other things, initiated and was responsible for the Education Law module for the part-time Master's degree programme in Education and Science Management.

Content:
Education law encompasses the law of the entire education system, determines the legal framework for the organisation and financing of educational institutions and specifies the rights and obligations of teachers and learners. However, education law also standardises performance assessments, examination decisions and disciplinary measures.
In Germany, the legal organisation of the education system is essentially the responsibility of the individual Federal States. However, this volume does not primarily deal with the differences between the respective legal regulations of the Federal States, but concentrates on the legal foundations and their interpretation by the courts. It is aimed at non-lawyers who encounter questions of education law in their daily practice as well as lawyers who are not familiar with education law.
