Contact studies in supervision, coaching and organisational development start again

Start in February 2021

Oldenburg. Coaching with managers, change processes in companies or dealing with conflicts in organisations: These topics are on the agenda of the part-time contact course "Supervision, Coaching and Organisational Development" at the Center for Lifelong Learning (C3L) at the University of Oldenburg. The advanced scientific training under the direction of private lecturer Dr Joseph Rieforth comprises six semesters and is aimed at subjects and managers from various professional fields who want to further develop their skills or establish themselves as supervisors, coaches or organisational developers. The degree programme will start a new round in February 2021. Registration is still possible until 31 October at uol.de/c3l/supervision or by calling Andrea Grotelüschen on 0441/798-2974.

The content of the practice-oriented contact course includes basic principles and methods from specialist areas such as psychology, sociology, philosophy, organisational development, management theory, psychotherapy and family therapy. In seminars led by lecturers with practical and teaching experience, participants will deal with topics such as systemic counselling, case and team supervision and agile management. They learn about theoretical and practical counselling models and have the opportunity to practise innovative intervention methods. The aim is to enable participants to put what they have learnt directly into practice in their academic appointments.

In the so-called "Oldenburg model", participants can gain experience in four different supervisory learning settings - practical supervision, group teaching supervision, individual teaching supervision and intervision - over the entire training period and develop in their role as a counsellor.

The contact study programme concludes with a university certificate and enables further certification with leading academic and professional associations such as the German Society for Supervision and Coaching (DGSv) and the German Society for Systemic Therapy, Counselling and Family Therapy (DGSF).
