Oldenburg. Leading and negotiating, managing projects and conflicts, leading staff and managing finances - the academic further education programme "Management and Leadership in the Social Economy" at the University of Oldenburg will focus on deepening these and other leadership skills from March 2020. The part-time twelve-month programme at the C3L - Center for Lifelong Learning is aimed at current and prospective managers in the health and social care sector. The university is offering the further education programme in co-operation with the Diakonisches Werk der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in Oldenburg for the third time. Registrations are still possible until 15 February.
The programme consists of eleven practical seminars and a final colloquium and prepares prospective managers of social institutions, for example, for the challenges of everyday working life. Short attendance phases at the university and online work phases make it possible to flexibly combine further education with family and academic appointments. Participants can have the certificate recognised towards the theoretical part of their training as a care home manager or credited towards other courses.
