The training programme has a total of 390 hours and consists of two modules, which can be booked individually or as a package. Decide for yourself what you would like to focus on.
Organisation
The programme utilises a blended learning format. This means that online self-study phases alternate with workshops (both face-to-face and online) and case-based group work. This allows for maximum flexibility in tailoring the further education programme to individual needs and balancing it with family and work commitments.
Through self-study, which can be undertaken at any time and from any location, you will acquire fundamental knowledge in areas including the structures of the social economy, human resources, finance, law, corporate culture, quality management and public relations. To this end, you will be given access to programme-specific study materials, up-to-date research articles and an online learning platform (C3LLO) set up specifically for the programme. You will complete online assignments and exchange ideas during case-based group work.
The workshops (held in person and online) are led by recognised experts and are designed to be interactive, practice-oriented and feature a high proportion of practical exercises. The transfer of knowledge and research into professional practice is ensured through the analysis of a case study from one of the following areas: acute inpatient care, inpatient and outpatient long-term care, psychiatric care (substance abuse), youth welfare or childcare centres.
Upon completion of all workshops, participants present the results of their case study work at a final colloquium. To obtain a university certificate, participants must sit a final written examination.
