The kick-off seminar for the "Wodór dla Top Menedżerów" programme took place in Görlitz at the weekend. It is offered by the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg and the University of Hanover in cooperation with Studium Wodoru. The six-month further education programme teaches participants how to assess, initiate and manage hydrogen projects. It is aimed at employees in companies and public institutions.
The cross-border co-operation is intended to accelerate the transition to renewable energies. The city of Oldenburg is sponsoring the further education programme, while other partners include the Oldenburg Energy Cluster and the European City of Görlitz-Zgorzelec. At the three-day kick-off seminar, the participants were welcomed by the supporters of the programme and by Torsten Göhler, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wrocław. Prof. Dr Richard Hanke-Rauschenbach from the University of Hanover introduced the topic with an overview of the function of hydrogen in the defossilisation of the energy system.
The successful programme has been offered since 2022. The next "Hydrogen for subjects and managers" further education programme begins in mid-August.
