Failing successfully – using setbacks as opportunities
Learning from mistakes and developing personal strategies
We endeavour not to fail, both in our academic appointments and in our private lives. On the other hand, the experience of failure is part of human life. Those who broaden their view of failure open up valuable learning opportunities for personal and academic appointments. Every mistake offers the chance to rethink strategies and improve skills. Skills training is about how we can accept failure more easily, recover more quickly from setbacks and master similar situations better in the future. This skill is not only crucial for professional success, but also for personal well-being and mental health.
The learning materials will be made available via our C3LLO learning platform at the start of the skills training programme. The content forms the knowledge basis for the two workshops that take place in Oldenburg. In the course of the further education programme, a transfer task must be completed, which aims to transfer what you have learned to your own professional practice.
You should allow around 60 hours for reading, workshops and the transfer task. In the online phases before and after the workshop (input and transfer), participants can distribute the work flexibly over the duration of the course.
