Structural accessibility
The University of Oldenburg is committed to making the working environment as barrier-free as possible for students and employees. In order to achieve this goal, an interdisciplinary working group meets once a quarter to discuss how structural barriers can be removed (where possible) or avoided from the outset in the case of new building projects.
The main tasks of the working group are
- Implementing a systematic inventory of structural barriers on campus and in the university's buildings
- Developing an action plan to remove existing structural barriers at the university
- Advice on planned new building projects and refurbishment measures
- Deriving (short-term) solutions for structural barriers
