Call for applications: Student assistants for public relations at the Institute of Chemistry

The Institute of Chemistry is looking for student assistants (max. 60 hours/month) to start as soon as possible. In this position you will support the Institute of Chemistry and the office staff in public relations work for the Institute of Chemistry:

  • Setting up and maintaining the Institute's internet presence on the university website and print media (approx. 15 hours/month)

  • Simple (!) image editing (such as cropping, colour corrections); if necessary also simple video editing
  • Checking the media for accessibility/lack of accessibility
  • Researching meta descriptions (tags), sources and further links
  • Communication with internal and external networks (e.g. with university-centred departments such as the Press and Communication Office or individual working groups of the Institute)
  • Dispatch of information and advertising material for public relations work

What we want from you:

  • You are properly enrolled at a university or college
  • You work responsibly, consistently and reliably
  • You have a confident, friendly demeanour - whether in person, on the phone or by email
  • You are confident in using MS Office 365
  • You are familiar with TYPO3 or are willing to continue your training in this area
  • You already have some experience in journalistic or editorial work (print or online) or are willing to continue your training in this area
  • You enjoy writing and have a very good command of German and English
  • You have some experience with AI in the writing process or are willing to continue your training in this area
  • It is an advantage if you have some experience with image editing (e.g. Photoshop)
