As part of a sustainable training concept, the University of Oldenburg is already training employees for tomorrow. Around 50 apprentices are currently being trained in various professions at the University of Oldenburg. The chemical laboratory assistant training programme is based at the Institute of Chemistry at School V in the Didactics of Chemistry department.
The Didactics of Chemistry working group focuses in particular on the didactic reconstruction of current research topics for schools and student laboratories, e.g. nanotechnology, green chemistry and the development of digital teaching-learning tools with accompanying teaching-learning formats for teaching, learning and research. A close connection to school practice is central in all subject areas. The ChemOL teaching and learning laboratory and the training programme offer pupils, students and teachers insights into current areas of work in the field of chemistry didactics.
