BRUKER Avance III 500

in operation since 2009

Two probes are available for this NMR spectrometer. The BBI probe is permanently fitted.

BBI probe: PA BBI 500S2 H-BB-D-05 Z
With
Z-gradient

Inverse probe: ¹H coil inside – X coil outside – heteronuclei are not as sensitive,
but advantageous for ¹H and ¹H-detected 2D spectra, therefore
¹HX-HMQC and -HMBC are more sensitive than on the BBO probe.

BBO probe: PA BBO 500S2 BBF-H-D-05 Z
With
Z-gradient

Unfortunately, 2D experiments no longer work with this probe. Due to its age, it cannot be repaired.

Probe: ¹H coil on the outside – XF coil on the inside → Heteronuclei are more sensitive than on the BBI probe.
With ¹H/¹⁹F switchbox

Temperature experiments are possible for both probes from -150°C to +150°C. Care must be taken to select a suitable solvent.

For temperature measurements and experiments not carried out automatically, please make an appointment.
