• Script SS 2016
• The script is divided into 9 course days - an additional course day will serve to repeat or review topics that were previously neglected. There are three versions of this script, which do not differ in content. The html version is practical in that it contains links, e.g. for downloading files. The pdf version is best suited for printing (if you prefer to work on paper rather than on screen), in the Word version you can insert notes directly and thus create your own personalised script. It is a matter of taste which version you prefer.

Background information for preparation or reference during the course:

• Concepts of programming with Matlab (Definitions of important terms that will be used constantly during the course. For preparation).
• A list of Matlab commands introduced in the course(You do not need to memorise these before the course, of course, but you may get an idea of what will be done in the course. In addition, this list can help you during the course and afterwards as a memory aid).
• Procedure for programming larger projects (This text is aimed more at people who already have some programming experience. So don't panic if you don't understand it straight away, we will discuss it in the second week of the course).

• Each day we will cover 2 or 3 topics, for which the script contains a short introduction and a series of exercises. There will also be some "homework" to reinforce what we have learnt. However, these tasks may change during the course, depending on how quickly we progress.
  
• As people with different levels of previous knowledge take part in the course, not everyone necessarily has to solve all the tasks. The tasks marked with * are to be understood as additional tasks, some of which are particularly tricky and marked with **.
• Please provide us with individual solutions to tasks in your personal folder on the university cloud system. Please register for this at

• We will discuss the tasks with the red numbers on the next course day. Please save your solutions for the tasks with red numbers as well as for the * and ** tasks you have solved in your folder on the cloud system. Use unique file names that include your own name to save them so that we do not overwrite other people's solutions when we download their solutions.
• We endeavour to give re-registering students re-registration on at least one task every day by commenting on the solution and copying it back to your folder on the cloud system.
  
• I will upload examples of solutions to the tasks the next day in the public course section of the cloud system.
• Final assignment: The final assignment is the basis for awarding grades. You have 4 weeks to solve it independently. The assignment will only appear on the homepage on the last day of the course.
