Course overview

The course covers a broad spectrum of banking-specific topics in the sense of an introduction to banking. The course begins with an examination of the institutional foundations of the financial sector, i.e. the structure of the national and international financial markets and their key players. We will then look in detail at issues relating to the regulation of banks. The course will also focus on issues of bank management and banks' internal accounting.
