Bachelor students of the five participating countries have the great possibility to bring their research to where their national decision makers meet – to their respective national parliament. These five Posters in Parliament presentations in Austria, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania and Luxembourg are scheduled for October 2025 - June 2026.
Learning and expanding from the national level, the project culminates in the Europe-wide poster presentation in the European Parliament in Brussels in the fall of 2026.
Posters in the European Parliament
For the first time ever, research-oriented Bachelor students of all EU Member States and of all disciplines are invited to present their research in the European Parliament in Brussels in November 2026!
This is a unique opportunity to meet and speak with Members of the European Parliament about your work in the lively setting of a scientific poster presentation. Science and science funding institutions will also be part of the interested audience. Presenting your research to Members of the European Parliament is an excellent chance to excel at science communication since your audience will most likely not be experts in your field of expertise. Furthermore, this chance to network will strengthen the European spirit among young European researchers and opens doors for future civic engagement.
Don’t miss out! The call for abstracts will open in March 2026!
National events
Lithuania
Plakatai Seime, 14 October 2025 in Vilnius
LCC International University hosted the first of five national poster sessions, bringing undergraduate research directly into the halls of the Seimas (Parliament of Lithuania).
Twenty-two students from six universities across Lithuania and Ukraine presented their research to parliamentarians, academics, and guests. The event was opened by Member of Parliament Hon. Vytautas Grubliauskas, who emphasized the importance of undergraduate research in fostering civic engagement and strengthening democracy.
Following the poster session, participants enjoyed a guided tour of Parliament and attended a live parliamentary session.
This inaugural event represents an important step in empowering undergraduate students to see themselves as active contributors to democratic society and bridging the gap between academia and policymaking.
Presenting my project at the Lithuanian Parliament was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget. It was inspiring to share my work with others who are passionate about research. I felt proud and motivated to keep growing in my field of study.
