After completing two vocational training courses – one in foreign-language correspondence in Spanish, English and French at the Sprachen- & Dolmetscher-Institut in Munich, and the other in curative education at the Robert Kümmert Academy in Würzburg – I studied part-time at the Charlotte-Wolff College in Berlin, and subsequently studied Abitur and Cultural Studies and Gender Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin (HU) and the University of Sydney, whilst working in both of my trained professions. After completing my studies, I worked in the field of cultural and political education and as a teacher of German as a foreign and second language in courses for refugees, integration programmes and parents. Since 2020, I have been teaching at the Centre for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies (ZtG) at HU Berlin. From September 2021 to September 2025, I worked as a research assistant and lecturer at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences. I continue to work there as a lecturer.
