After completing two vocational training programmes in foreign language correspondence in Spanish, English and French at the Sprachen- & Dolmetscher-Institut München and in curative education at the Robert Kümmert Akademie Würzburg, I completed my Abitur at the Charlotte-Wolff Kolleg in Berlin on a part-time basis and then studied cultural studies and gender studies at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) and the University of Sydney, working in both academic appointments. After my studies, I worked in the field of cultural and political education and as a teacher of German as a foreign and second language in refugee, integration and parenting courses. Since 2020 I have been teaching at the Centre for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies (ZtG) at HU Berlin. From 09/2021 to 09/2025 I worked as a research assistant and lecturer at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences. I continue to work there as a lecturer.
