Microhistory - Quo vadis?

The Master Class with the renowned Canadian microhistorian couple Thomas V. and Elizabeth S. Cohen (York University/Harvard University) is part of the seminar "The Art of Microhistory" offered by Dagmar Freist in the winter semester 2019/2020. Selected publications by the guests as well as texts by doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers and Master's students from the Department of Early Modern Studies will be discussed. The discussions will focus on the current state of microhistorical research as well as the forms, possibilities and limits of microhistorical narration.
