Building on my degree in History and Art at the University of Oldenburg, I increasingly immersed myself in the study of antiquity as part of my Master's degree in European History. My main focus is on the religious and cultural history of antiquity. In doing so, I dealt extensively with the Latin "defixiones" (curse tablets) from the Greco-Roman area and the "Papyri Graecae Magicae" - one of the richest collections of sources for the study of ancient magic.
I completed my Master's degree with a thesis on the "Divergence of Magic and Religion" with a focus on antiquity and subsequently worked as a lecturer and temporary research assistant at the University of Oldenburg. During this time, I conducted intensive research in the areas of theriomorphism and religious structures and beliefs in Ancient Egypt.
Since 2026, I have been working as a research associate at the Lower Saxony Academy in Göttingen on the project "West Germania in Transition - Edition and Multidisciplinary Research of the Northwest German Cultural Landscape during the Roman Imperial Period (1st-4th Century)".
