Persons of trust
Representatives of the IBU
against discrimination and sexualised violence
The confidants are low-threshold contacts for all students and employees of School V at the University of Oldenburg. They are available as contact persons for problems and conflicts at institute level or in individual work areas if, for various reasons, these cannot be dealt with directly between the persons concerned or if this is explicitly not desired. The confidential counsellors are not professional experts, but offer a low-threshold point of contact in the event of sexualised violence, harassment, discrimination or academic misconduct.
Who can I turn to?
If you need support in the event of a conflict, you can contact a person of trust of your choice, regardless of status group or institute affiliation. They know about the possible procedures in the Institutes, the School and at the University and can, if desired, accompany the first steps.
The discussions held with the confidential counsellors are confidential and should take place at an agreed time and place that allows for confidentiality.
The current confidential counsellors at IBU are
Prof Dr Gudrun Massmann (university lecturer)
Dr Wiebke Rathje (WM)
Dr Birgit Vollrath (MTV)
Eike Mayland-Quellhorst (MTV)
