“ICBM: Ocean of Ideas” is a new series of seminars at the ICBM. It offers early-career researchers (from Master’s students and PhD candidates to postdocs at career level R2) from all research groups a platform to present their research in a supportive and safe environment and to further develop their presentation skills.

Although the talks are mainly given by early-career researchers, the seminar is open to all members of the ICBM. Experienced researchers – from senior researchers and professors right down to undergraduate students and teaching assistants – are invited to provide feedback on both the content and presentation techniques, clarity and structure.

Furthermore, the seminar series offers the opportunity to gain insights into the research of other research groups and departments at the ICBM, to foster academic exchange and to initiate new co-operations.

In addition, presenters receive professional presentation coaching each semester to help them develop their presentation and communication skills in a targeted manner.

When? Every two weeks, on Fridays from 12:00 to 14:00
