Experience the ‘City of Science’ first-hand!

Discover research from Wilhelmshaven up close: For the fourth time, the NWDUG invites you to the Long Night of Science at the Wilhelmshaven Botanical Garden. At twelve stations, you can experiment, observe, try things out and chat with scientists.

Under the themes ‘Science from WHV’, ‘Experience Science’ and ‘The Future of Science’, a varied programme awaits you for children, young people and adults. Find out about the latest research from Wilhelmshaven and, at the same time, discover how educational institutions and initiatives bring scientific topics to life – with experiments, models, activities and plenty of opportunities to get involved.

At the ICBM stand, discover the importance of the ocean’s surface, dive with us into the depths of the oceans and talk to us about climate change on the coast.

Another highlight is the series of talks: in short presentations, two scientists from the ICBM in Wilhelmshaven, amongst others, will introduce their work and provide insights into what they do. This means you can not only get involved and have a go, but also find out which topics are currently driving research in the area.
