Open studio during the lecture-free period

Outside of these times, you can work independently in the studio from Monday to Friday until 10pm. If the room is locked, the room key (no. 97) can be borrowed from the Infopoint in the canteen foyer on presentation of your student ID. At weekends, a key and chip card must also be borrowed to gain access to building A9 via the Prinzengarten. An access card must also be borrowed for the storage area and activated at the access point (at lift shaft A9) before use (valid for 24 hours).
News on the use of the studio
The studio is accessible Mon-Fri from 8 am - 10 pm. A chip is still required for the warehouse. Please take into account the workstations set up in the studio.
For Saturday/Sunday: The room key (no. 97) can be borrowed from the Infofpoint in the
Mensa building on presentation of your student ID.
An additional key/chip must be borrowed, which gives
access to the building via the Prinzengarten.
If events take place in the studio, use must be agreed with the
lecturer in question.
Workshop
The workshop consists of two rooms. In the front studio, students can work freely as long as there are no courses taking place. It is accessible Mon-Fri from 8 am to 10 pm. At weekends, the key can be borrowed from the Infopoint in the Mensa building on presentation of your student ID.
You can paint and draw. We cast plaster, work with wire and papier-mâché. For working with clay and wood, we move to the so-called wood workshop, where there is also a kiln.

The storage area at the back of the studio is only accessible during 'open studio hours'. Students can store works and materials here that are required for a course they are currently attending. There are also two additional workstations here.
Students who are currently attending a practical course have the opportunity to borrow a chip from the lecturers for the relevant semester, which grants access to this storage area every day from 8 am to 10 pm.
