The self-study module "Language-sensitive subject teaching" introduces (prospective) teachers to the basics of language-sensitive teaching. This involves an intensive examination of subject-specific linguistic characteristics by identifying linguistic difficulties and developing language-sensitive modifications to material on this basis. Methods and models for language-sensitive teaching as well as basic background knowledge on language education are taught. On the basis of what they have learnt, teachers can reflect on their own linguistic activities and adapt them to be language-sensitive.
