The Research Academy forms an organisational structure within the DiZ for all tasks relating to research and the promotion of young talent.

Research cluster "Advanced language acquisition"

At the centre of the cluster's research interests is advanced language acquisition, i.e. the acquisition of advanced language skills during the school years.

"Intersectional sensitivity" research cluster

Intersectionality research is based on the assumption that historically evolved forms of discrimination, power structures, subjectivation processes and social inequalities must be critically analysed in their interdependencies.

Research cluster "Education for sustainable development"

The cluster aims to bring together pedagogical, didactic and inter- and transdisciplinary research that examines the role of education for social change and sustainable development.

"Language-aware subject teaching" research cluster

The cluster "Language-aware subject teaching" attempts to dovetail all perspectives, including language and subject didactics as well as educational science, and enables a joint exchange on language education topics and the initiation of collaborative research projects.
