As part of the 'Auditory Valley goes west' project, the network presented itself at the annual conference of the Canadian Academy of Audiology from 26-30 October 2009 in Toronto.
The project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, gives Auditory Valley the opportunity to establish contacts with interesting networks in the US and Canada. Through its presence at the trade fair, it has succeeded in drawing the attention of conference visitors to the network's activities, which were previously limited to the European market. "The visions of the Auditory Valley also aroused great interest in Canada and the Oldenburg measurement programmes presented also found an open ear," says Dr Rainer Huber, summarising the conference. Further trips to various potential network partners and to the AAA Congress are on the programme for 2010.
