Hearing aid developers use "summit meeting" in Oldenburg
The Haus des Hörens in Oldenburg will once again be the discussion venue for the top international hearing aid manufacturers from 9 to 11 June 2011. For the fifth time, the industry's most important experts from Germany and abroad will take the opportunity to exchange views on current challenges and launch pre-competitive projects. This time, the forum is focussing on the increasing joint development of hearing aids and cochlear implants. In addition to invited plenary lectures, the meeting will focus on six interdisciplinary discussion groups on current research into technical hearing aids.
"Through this 'summit meeting', the HörTech Center of Competence at the University of Oldenburg enables the chief developers of competing hearing aid manufacturers to discuss the burning issues in the industry together with scientists and clinicians and to develop fundamental solutions," says Prof. Dr Dr Birger Kollmeier, spokesperson for the HörTech Center of Competence.
