Instrumental/vocal practice
Students receive individual tuition throughout their studies, play in ensembles and work on multimedia productions. The degree programme at the Institute of Music in Oldenburg is characterised by a strong professional approach and a corresponding focus on artistic-musical training.
Particular attention is paid to ensemble practice and artistic-musical project work in the Music / Scene / Theatre specialisation. Another speciality of Oldenburg is the area of media music practice.
Individual vocal/instrumental lessons
Individual instrumental or vocal tuition takes place for almost the entire duration of the degree programme. A special feature of this is the great freedom of choice: students at the Institute of Music can take lessons according to their strengths and needs, can continue what they are familiar with and start something new, depending on their course of study and study goals.
Orchestras, choirs, ensembles
In addition to individual lessons, the many small and large ensembles play a key role in instrumental and vocal practice. Here, students work across styles, genres and disciplines on artistic and musical projects that radiate far beyond the university campus and help shape the cultural life of the city and region of Oldenburg.
