Yesterday, the University of Oldenburg received the seal of approval and award from the Association eLearning Business Norddeutschland (vebn) for three part-time degree programmes. The Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration and the Master's degree programmes in Education Management and Innovation Management were recognised as outstanding e-learning courses.
The vebn based its assessment on around 100 quality criteria for good e-learning, which examine content, didactics, media, technology and evaluation. All three Oldenburg degree programmes met almost 100 percent of the criteria. "In all three degree programmes, those responsible have succeeded in implementing very good blended learning concepts. In addition, the specific needs of working participants are specifically taken into account," said laudator Sabine Hansen, explaining the vebn's decision.
The Center for Lifelong Learning (C3L) at the University of Oldenburg has been offering the award-winning degree programmes for working participants since 2003. "We are delighted about the award. It confirms that we have developed a learning organisation and e-learning support in our degree programmes that focuses on the needs of working target groups," says Dr Michaela Zilling, Managing Director of the C3L.
