It's "Showtime" at the University's Institute of Art and Visual Culture until Wednesday, 6 July. Students are presenting their artistic works, which were created in the various degree programmes at the Institute.

Students and staff have been preparing for the presentation week since the beginning of the semester. The diverse results can be seen until 6 July: From paintings, sculptures, photography and film to performances and the results of mediation projects - the spectrum of exhibits shown in the corridors and event rooms is wide. The artistic works were created in practice and theory courses as part of the degree programmes and in independent work. In addition to the exhibition, the Institute's studio and the workshops for printmaking and photography, the Medialab and the new magazine archive "SchriftenZeit" will be open at times. Students will report on their academic research work in a symposium. Interested parties can take part in selected courses. The Integrated Media Master's programme is also involved in the event.

The presentation week, which is taking place for the fourth time, was opened on 29 June in the Prinzengarten on the Haarentor campus. The Japanese garden, otherwise a place of tranquillity, became a central venue for "Showtime 4" with a buffet and music. Exhibition tours, performances and film screenings also took place in the Institute (buildings A8 and A9). Student bodies organised a clothes swap and a button workshop, among other things.

A visit to the exhibition is not only worthwhile for students and prospective students, but also for anyone interested in finding out how artistic practice, mediation and art and media theory are studied at the university. Admission to all events is free.
