More than 200 pupils found out about current topics and study opportunities at yesterday's "Computing Science Day" at the University of Oldenburg.

More than 200 pupils found out about current topics and study opportunities at yesterday's "Computing Science Day" at the University of Oldenburg.

Under the motto "Computing Science - I like it", lecturers and students gave lectures and project presentations to convey the versatility of the subject and reported on their own personal path into Computing Science.
The pupils were able to get active themselves in hands-on activities: They gained their first experience in programming, solved Computing Science puzzles, investigated the inner workings of computers and explored the function of networks. Pupils from KGS Rastede reported on their participation in the international robot programming competition FIRST LEGO League 2011, the regional finals of which will be held again in Oldenburg in November 2012.
