Master

Master's programme

Oldenburg is the only university in Lower Saxony to offer a Bachelor's degree programme in Dutch Studies. Based on a thorough language acquisition in small seminars with dedicated lecturers, the Bachelor's programme offers a broad overview of linguistics and literary studies, which is then deepened in selected seminars. Students who wish to continue their studies afterwards can opt for Dutch as one of two main subjects on the teaching degree programme(Master of Education) for the school types Hauptschule and Realschule, Business Education or Gymnasium - and at this point Oldenburg is also the only university in Germany to offer an independent single-subject Master's degree in Dutch Linguistics and Literature.

Academic appointments and fields of activity with the Master of Arts

Graduates of the Master's degree programme in Dutch Studies have career opportunities in research, publishing (editing, translation, press relations), journalism (newspapers, television, radio), public relations and further education. In the field of German-Dutch cooperation or internationally oriented
