Workshops
Workshops
The accompanying workshops in the project phase are intended to support the students in their project work on cross-project and research methodological issues.
Interdisciplinary workshops
The interdisciplinary workshops focus on cross-project topics and are designed to help students acquire social skills, personal skills and specialised knowledge on various project-specific topics. In addition, these programmes prepare students for the report and presentation examinations. These include
- Literature research
- Team and conflict management
- project management
- research ethics
- Presentation techniques
Method workshops
The method workshops are tailored to the specific steps in the research process and are based on milestones (rough time frame) of the project phase. The method workshops are intended to provide suggestions, tips and hints that can then be used for further work in the group. All decisions/further steps for the project work are made in the seminars with the project teachers and all project participants! The focus is on active work on one's own project in social exchange with other (research) groups. The aim is to expand your own (methodological) knowledge and skills and to further develop the project.
The workshop programme includes, for example
- Specification of research questions Introduction to the research design
- Development of survey instruments (e.g. interview guidelines or questionnaires)
- Analysis & interpretation of qualitative / quantitative data
- Writing down and presenting qualitative / quantitative research results
Individual method counselling for the project groups in the pedagogy project phase
If specific questions arise within the project groups that cannot be dealt with in the workshops, it is possible to arrange an individual appointment with the teachers of the workshops or to register for an appointment during the respective office hours.
At this point, it should be noted that very few questions are specific to individual projects and that learning effects primarily take place through exchange with others. It is therefore recommended that you primarily take advantage of the workshops on offer as additional support.
