Lecture on radiation physics gets under your skin
As part of the "Rent a Prof" campaign, Professor Björn Poppe, Professor of Medical Radiation Physics at the University of Oldenburg, visited ninth-grade pupils at Ganderkeseer Gymnasium and gave them an exciting insight into working with X-rays. The topic was "good and bad rays". NWZ article on the lecture
"Rent a Prof" is an offer from the Institute of Physics at the University of Oldenburg that enables schools in the region to "rent" physicists for a lecture on a chosen topic. However, the school does not incur any costs. The aim of the programme is to show what exciting questions are involved in physics research and to arouse pupils' interest in studying physics.
