On 30th July, 2024, alumnus Kashish Shah (EMRE (2017-19) visited the UOL Wechloy Campus. Kashish has been working with giz-India for about 5 years now and frequently traveling to Europe.
As part of his visit business trip, Kashish had the chance to visit the city, meet friends and reminiscence of the good old days spent in the city, campus, Energielabor and Mensa. Back in 2017, he did his EMRE-core semester in Oldenburg & his specialization in grid integration in Spain. After completing his master thesis at DLR-VE, Oldenburg, in 2019, he joined giz in New Delhi, India. Because he has been working with giz for 5 years, he has been actively involved in shaping the distribution sector, renewable energy, and e-mobility landscape with the government of India on policy, regulatory and technical interventions. Currently, he is serving as energy advisor on energy transition with the DISCOMs project, that works on improving operational efficiency & financial sustainability of the electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs). In addition, he is also working on BMZs feminist policy to design & implement gender transformative projects in the energy sector in India. Last year, he organized and accompanied a study tour to Europe for a high level delegation from Indian ministries and central agencies. He is an avid traveller and loves visiting Europe. We wish him good luck and hope to see him soon!
