PPRE Alumni x Students Vol. 2

After last year’s success, on November 2nd we once again gathered, as alumnae and alumni, to meet the new students in Oldenburg. We kicked off with some group activities to help everyone get to know each other a bit better. One activity involved grouping people based on this fun question: “If you had to choose one for the rest of your life, which would it be—rice, beans, potatoes, or bread?” Surprisingly, the majority of participants chose beans, which I didn’t expect!

In the second part of the event, we listened to presentations from our alumnae and alumni, who shared their experiences and insights. They spoke about the challenges and best practices from their study years, the transition from graduation to their first jobs in Germany, and their journeys in both industry and academia.

We wrapped up the event with a PPRE Pub Quiz, which was so much fun! Naturally, we had questions about engineering, but also about Germany and fun facts related to PPRE. For example, did you know that three children of alumnae and alumni have gone on to study PPRE themselves? Fascinating, right?

Now it’s time for a break, but plans for next year are already underway.

Looking forward to seeing you and the new batch next year in Oldenburg!
