In Oldenburg, sports science can be studied as a two-subject Bachelor's programme. This means that a second subject must be taken in addition to sports science. The Bachelor's degree programme in Sports Science focuses on the various teaching qualifications. Depending on the teacher training programme chosen, the Sports Science degree course covers different content and scope (the illustrations on the following pages represent the current examination regulations):
- Primary school
- Secondary and intermediate secondary school
- grammar school
- Special education
- Business Education
In combination with the subjects Special Needs Education or Business Education, Sport Science can only be studied as a minor subject (30 CP in the Bachelor's programme). In addition to the teaching degree, the Bachelor's degree programme can be studied for a non-school career goal (two-subject Bachelor's degree) (free choice of combination of subjects):

In addition to the university entrance qualification, a sports aptitude test is a prerequisite for studying Sports Science in the Bachelor's degree programme.
