Master of Arts - Master's degree programme "Sports Science"
The subject Master's degree programme in Sport Science has been offered since the winter semester 2021/22. The degree programme is a further development of the previously valid subject Master's degree programme "Sport and Lifestyle". The new title takes into account the character of sport science as a cross-sectional discipline consisting of approaches from the humanities, social sciences, cultural studies and natural sciences and is characterised by the newly introduced specialisations "Talent in Sport" and "Social Heterogeneity in Sport".
The focal points reflect the research focus of the departments of Sociology and Sports Sociology, Sport and Exercise and Sport and Training currently involved in the subject Master's programme. In the future, the Department of Sport and Education will also participate in the development of the Master's degree programme in Sport Science. The focus of the degree programme is unique in Lower Saxony and nationwide.
Admission requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Sports Science with at least 60 CP or another suitable degree programme.
