InfOS – Information films for Oldenburg degree programmes
InfOS is an SQM project initiated and managed by the Central Student and Career Counselling Office.
Together with representatives of the Schools, Media Services, Press and Communication and the Information Management of Division 3, work was carried out on a uniform, cross-organisational video concept and coordinated university production process.
The result is set out in a guideline.
With the help of these guidelines, authentic information videos can be produced for the degree programmes at the University of Oldenburg. Prospective students should thus be addressed comprehensively and in a modern way.

Project structure and participation
- Interdisciplinary cooperation: Representatives of the Schools and central services were involved in the development of the guidelines.
- The faculties provide content expertise and select protagonists.
- The media services are responsible for professional production.
- Press and Communication advises on editorial issues and provides support with publication.

Procedure
If you are interested in creating a study programme video, please consider the following procedure:

- Recruit and select protagonists

Then follows:
- Kick-off meeting with Press and Communication (P&K) and media technology to clarify content-related questions and agree on a schedule
- Final coordination of content with P&K approx. 1-2 days before shooting date
- Review of interviews, selection of sound bites and their possible order by the subject in coordination with P&K
- Film editing by the media technology department
- Up to two correction loops in coordination between the subject, media technology and P&K
- Publication by P&K in coordination with the subject
