Student counselling

The Student Advisory Service is provided by the Central Student and Career Advisory Service (ZSKB). We are your first point of contact for any questions relating to your studies.

Target group: We offer prospective students guidance and support in choosing a degree programme, and we assist current students with planning and organising their studies, as well as with any challenges they may face.

We can advise you regardless of whether you

don’t yet know what you want to study,
are already studying, or
are planning to graduate.

We provide professional and impartial advice. Your concerns take centre stage for us.
You can use our open office hours without an appointment or arrange individual appointments.

One person gives a lecture using a presentation in front of several people.

UniTalk covers a wide range of topics relating to studying and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

In the group counselling sessions on various key topics, you can clarify questions and also benefit from the questions of others.

During the taster programme you take part in regular courses. Get to know your favourite subject and the University of Oldenburg! We also offer organised taster days for individuals and (school) groups.

The ZSKB-KurzINFO series provides you with brief and compact information on topics relating to your everyday study life.

Qualifying workshops prepare you for your work as a tutor and teach you the skills you need to organise tutorials in a way that promotes learning.

High-achieving students can take part in regular courses before starting their degree programme. Exam results will be recognised later.

The SchulPortal presents the University of Oldenburg's counselling, information and orientation services for students, interested parties and teachers.

The start of your degree programme is approaching and you will need a lot of different information to get off to a successful start. That's why your degree programme starts with the so-called orientation week .
