In terms of content, the teaching includes the imparting of knowledge in the field of hydrodynamics, physical oceanography and the numerics of ocean and climate models.

The members of the Physical Oceanography (Theory) group teach in various degree programmes at the University of Oldenburg, such as the Master's programmes "Environmental Modelling" and "Marine Environmental Sciences" as well as in the Bachelor's programme "Environmental Sciences".
