To Dos for students
1) Registration for the ASP at the DiZ
Students must register for the general school internship at the DiZ in good time and at specified times. Under the following link you will find all information about the internship registration:
2) To be entered in the ASP lecture
Students who have registered for the ASP at the Didactic Centre in good time will be transferred to the ASP lecture. Please contact us immediately at if something goes wrong with the transfer.
The 4 lectures will take place online and will also be recorded so that you can watch the recording afterwards in the event of a clash of dates!
3) Enrol in an ASP preparatory seminar
Only those who are listed as participants in the ASP lecture can register for one of the preparatory seminars. In Stud.ip you will find all the seminars on offer via the search mask. Please register for one of the seminars and make sure that the seminar you have chosen fits into your timetable. Parallel compulsory courses should be avoided! Please note once again: Active participation is required in the preparatory seminars.
There are enough ASP seminars offered per session so that each of you is guaranteed a place. Those who are unable to attend during the lecture period (e.g. due to a stay abroad, illness, etc.) have the opportunity to attend a block seminar shortly before the start of the practical phase. Please contact us immediately at
4) Exam registration
At the beginning of the semester, students register for the ASP examination and thus document their intention to start an internship.
You will be informed about the details of the exam, such as the specific registration period, in the lecture.
You can only complete the ASP if you have registered for the examination. The final school allocation via the DiZ takes place in coordination with the exam registration. No exceptions will be made here!
5) Practical phase
The practical phase at the schools usually takes place after the summer holidays (summer / autumn). In exceptional cases (e.g. due to a semester abroad or illness), the practical phase can also take place in spring. Please note the registration times in the DiZ!
The practical phase comprises a 6-week internship (with a core period of 5 weeks at the school
+ 1 week preparation and follow-up time) and should be completed in a block. As a guideline, 25 hours per week (5 days per week, 5 hours per day) should be completed at school. The school internship is usually carried out in the type of school of the intended teaching profession, but can also be carried out in another type of school.
6) Prepare, submit and pass the ASP portfolio
You will receive an outline for the ASP portfolio with corresponding tasks via the lecture level and create a file independently (with e.g. MS Word, Open Office, ...). The portfolio is submitted in the form of a pdf file!
The examination is not graded and is assessed as "pass" / "fail".
When creating the portfolio, please pay attention to your spelling and grammar as well as the formatting. At best, have the portfolio proofread. In addition to content-related deficiencies, the portfolio may be graded "failed" if there are too many spelling and/or grammatical errors and poor formatting.
