The Oldenburg PLAR service is presented as a "good practice" in the latest HRK nexus newsletter 5/2017. The employees of the C3L, Division 3, the Competence Centre for Credit Transfer and the Department for Study Affairs, who have been working together on the PLARnet project since the end of 2016, are delighted about this.
The PLAR service ("Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition") supports students at the University of Oldenburg who would like to have their non-academic competences recognised. Students of all subjects are instructed to present and prove their competences in a credit portfolio.
